ACT & Arlington Community Foundation Fall Wealth Advisors Education Event - September 16th
ACT & the Arlington Community Foundation invite you to our Wealth Advisors Fall Education Event on Wednesday, September 16th at 8:00 a.m. at the Lorien Hotel & Spa

Tax reform is on the horizon.  It was debated on the campaign trail in 2008 and now we have seen the first of the proposals through the President’s budgeting process.  Though the proposed increases target high-income earners, if no action is taken all taxpayers will experience a rise in tax rates in 2011.  After a strong government reaction to the financial crisis, the task of controlling the debt and deficit while increasing revenue is a daunting task.

Proposed changes to taxes for individuals and businesses and the challenges of striking the right fiscal balance:  What will it mean to you?

Hear from John E. “Buck” Chapoton, partner at Brown Advisory and former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Tax Policy, who has spent considerable time reviewing the budget proposals and the impact on individuals and businesses.  He will also review these proposals in the context of the current recession, the cost of the stimulus bill and  other recent government programs aimed at improving the economy.
