| ACT Welcomes New Development Manager - Henrietta LaMotte |

Henrietta “Henri” LaMotte recently joined the ACT for Alexandria staff as Development Manager. Henri brings a nonprofit management degree and an expanse of experience in the nonprofit arena to her new role. As Development Manager, Henri will support the fund development efforts of the organization helping to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward potential donors. She will provide the necessary marketing and outreach support to convey ACT’s mission, vision and message and oversee fund development efforts for the organization. Her work on behalf of ACT promises to be both invaluable and rewarding as ACT continues to play an important role in the community.
Henri's previous experience includes work as manager of a capital campaign for the Girl Scouts as well as work as an event organizer. She has also worked as a consultant to develop strategic plans for several organizations. In prior careers she had her own retail clothing business and worked for a Congressman as a caseworker. Henri holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Boston University and a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy.
