The Giving Circle of Alexandria

Giving Circle of Alexandria logo The Giving Circle is a diverse group of women who are invested and engaged in their community. They believe that confronting the City’s high priority issues collectively and strategically is the best means to inspire social change. With an annual matching grant of $25,000, ACT has helped The Giving Circle increase their membership and impact around early childhood education. In 2009, ACT and The Giving Circle co-invested in a city-wide playgroup initiative to expand a collaborative playgroup model around the City.

ALEXANDRIA COUNCIL OF HUMAN SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS

ANNUAL MEETING & ELECTIONS

The next ACHSO Annual Meeting is Wednesday, June 24, 2009, 9:30 a.m. We will meet at 2900B Business Center Drive, Transportation & Environmental Services Training Room. As this is our Annual Meeting, please feel free to invite your board chair or a board representative.

At this meeting, we will elect two nonprofit agency representatives and one City agency representative to serve on the Executive Committee for two-year terms. Based on our election protocols, each agency will have only one vote, which should be cast by the agency head or his/her designee.
