Our Impact

Center for Alexandria's Children

Center for Alexandria's Children logoIn 2008, there were 1,096 reports of child abuse and/or neglect in Alexandria.  These statistics do not take into account the number of cases that are never reported. The Center for Alexandria’s Children protects children and strengthens families by coordinating the investigation, prosecution, treatment and prevention of child abuse in one safe, child-friendly facility. The CAC is a public-private partnership dedicated to one purpose: the elimination of child abuse in the City of Alexandria.

Generations of Giving Gala

Looking Back...Moving Foward
Join us for a festive evening looking back on Alexandria in the 1960’s and moving into the future with ACT.  ACT's 5th Annual Generations of Giving Gala will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

Our evening will culminate with the presentation of the Legacy of Giving Award, honoring an Alexandria family's long-standing tradition of giving to our city.

2012 Event Sponsorships are still available.  For more information about the event or sponsorship opportunities, please call Henrietta LaMotte at 703-739-7778 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

The Gala will serve as the kick-off event for Spring for Alexandria, a four-day celebration of giving and service in our city. Last year, Spring for Alexandria brought together 2,000 Alexandria businesses, community members, city employees, and elected officials and raised vital funds for programs focused on our city’s underserved residents.

Individual Tickets are $175 and will be on sale in March.  See below for a list of our 2011 sponsors.
