The Giving Circle of Alexandria

Giving Circle of Alexandria logo The Giving Circle is a diverse group of women who are invested and engaged in their community. They believe that confronting the City’s high priority issues collectively and strategically is the best means to inspire social change. With an annual matching grant of $25,000, ACT has helped The Giving Circle increase their membership and impact around early childhood education. In 2009, ACT and The Giving Circle co-invested in a city-wide playgroup initiative to expand a collaborative playgroup model around the City.

Gifts in Kind Charity Charge 5K - Run for ACT & Give Back Alexandria - October 9th

Support ACT & Give Back Alexandria by running in the Gifts in Kind Charity Charge 5K on Saturday, October 9th, 10:00 a.m. at Cameron Run Regional Park.

Following the race, runners and attendees will have the opportunity to meet 20 area nonprofits that are making an impact in the community, including ACT. There will also be food for purchase from local vendors and live entertainment.

Race Route: This flat course will take you through the Eisenhower Valley area of Alexandria. The course will start and finish at the parking lot of Cameron Run Water Park. The runners will run through Ben Brenman Park, around lakes and over streams and loop back to the Water Park.

Fees: $25 pre-registration until October 7th. $30 day of race registration.
