The Giving Circle of Alexandria
The Giving Circle is a diverse group of women who are invested and engaged in their community. They believe that confronting the City’s high priority issues collectively and strategically is the best means to inspire social change. With an annual matching grant of $25,000, ACT has helped The Giving Circle increase their membership and impact around early childhood education. In 2009, ACT and The Giving Circle co-invested in a city-wide playgroup initiative to expand a collaborative playgroup model around the City.

Join us on Thursday, November 19th from 6:30pm-9:00pm for our 2nd Annual Fall into Giving - holiday goods drive! Warm up your hearts and minds by giving back! Start the season of giving early by providing goods and gifts to The Reading Connection and SCAN of Northern Virginia. Bring your donations to our wine & cheese event and help us warm up our neighbors in need. Additional giving opportunities will be available during the event. All contributors will be eligible to win Washington Capitals tickets! Price of Admission: children's books, craft supplies, gift cards, new unwrapped topys, board games, etc. Click here for a complete list. Give Back & Buy Local - start your own holiday shopping early and buy items from local businesses including Leah Sturgis Jewelry Art, Molly Miller by Appointment, Pokeberry Paper, Queen Bee Designs, Silpada Designs, and Unwined Belle View. They will be donating a percentage of the sales back to Give Back Alexandria. The event will be held at the F.O.E. Building - 1015 Cameron Street, Alexandria.
