The Giving Circle of Alexandria
The Giving Circle is a diverse group of women who are invested and engaged in their community. They believe that confronting the City’s high priority issues collectively and strategically is the best means to inspire social change. With an annual matching grant of $25,000, ACT has helped The Giving Circle increase their membership and impact around early childhood education. In 2009, ACT and The Giving Circle co-invested in a city-wide playgroup initiative to expand a collaborative playgroup model around the City.

Privacy PolicyACT for Alexandria is committed to protecting the privacy of our donors and does not sell, rent, loan, or otherwise share any information about them. Information concerning donors and prospective donors will be held in strict confidence by ACT for Alexandria, and will be released only when permitted by the donor or if compelled by a regulatory agency or court. Unless anonymity is requested donors are routinely recognized by category of size of gift and grantees are identified but not by fund source. Unless the donor directs that a gift remain anonymous, grant recipients are given the name of the fund which made the grant. Like all organizations with a website, ACT receives standard tracking data when you visit our site. Information from your browser, including your IP address, pages visited, the length of time you spend on our site, and files you download is recorded in our Web site server logs. We use and analyze this data to develop site content and continue to provide you with a positive experience when you visit our Web site. However, no personal information is collected during the tracking process. We do not sell, rent, loan or otherwise share any personally identifying information or information of any kind that a user provides. ACT provides links to external Web sites from our Web site.
