
ACTion Heroes raise over $100,000 for Alexandria Nonprofits during First-Ever Spring2ACTion
Spring2ACTion, an initiative of ACT & ACTion Alexandria, 1,265 community members and 47Alexandria nonprofit organizations raised $104,156 and transformed Alexandria philanthropy into a massive grassroots effort. Spring2ACTion is an innovative online community-wide fundraising event powered by Razoo. On May 5, 6 and 7, Spring2ACTion challenged Alexandrians to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofit organizations and the community answered the call, exceeding the original goal of $100,000.
Nonprofits were awarded BIG PRIZES based on the number of unique donors who gave. The top three winners include:
· 1st Place and $5,000 grant – Empowered Women International with 150 donors
· 2nd Place and $2,500 grant – The Art League with 139 donors
· 3rd Place and $1,500 grant – The Center for Alexandria’s Children with 104 donors
