Alexandria Board Leadership Exchange
ABLE seeks to provide fundamental knowledge about effective board leadership and access to training; support a vibrant network of members for sharing and learning; and foster a dynamic environment for recruitment of volunteers for board service. The Giving Circle of Alexandria
Their members work with community leaders and experts to help address the needs of the community on a daily basis. The Giving Circle members gain understanding on how to break down the barriers standing in the way of a child's success and invest in effective programs. By working with nonprofit organizations, the Giving Circle facilitates the establishment of new programs that reach children and families who had not been reached previously. Launched in 2004 by ACT, the Giving Circle of Alexandria is a philanthropic investment organization that offers a new, strategic approach to philanthropy. By pooling the financial and intellectual resources provided by over 300 women living in Alexandria, the Giving Circle is making a strategic and sustainable difference in the lives of children and their families.
