Alexandria Board Leadership Exchange
ABLE seeks to provide fundamental knowledge about effective board leadership and access to training; support a vibrant network of members for sharing and learning; and foster a dynamic environment for recruitment of volunteers for board service. ACT for Alexandria is a community foundation that seeks to raise the level and effectivenss of community engagement and giving for the benefit of all Alexandria. ACT recently celebrated nonprofits serving our city at our Annual Grantee Luncheon.Awardees include: Alexandria Neighborhood Health Services, Inc., ALIVE!, Center for Alexandria's Children, Child & Family Network Centers, Community Lodgings, First Night Alexandria, Friends of Guest House, Higher Achievement, New Neighbors, SCAN of Northern Virginia, Senior Services of Alexandria, The Reading Connection, and Wesley Housing Development Corporation.
