The Center for Alexandria's Children (CAC) is a very special result of ACT's focus on innovation and collaboration. This child advocacy center provides a single, supportive environment for victims of child abuse, as well as resources for parents. Here, children receive sensitive, integrated care and attention from human services, law enforcement, and other professionals, and parents can learn new parenting skills and receive the support they also need.
The CAC officially opened in April 2007 and celebrated with a Grand Opening event in September 2007. ACT was able to bring this multi-disciplinary, multi-agency center from idea to opening in less than two years.

ACT continues to support the Center for Alexandria’s Children through capacity building grants and a joint investment towards a city-wide playgroup initiative with The Giving Circle of Alexandria.
