You can help families and communities most affected by the recent wildfires in California by sending dollars directly to organizations on the front lines of relief and recovery efforts. Financial donations are the best way to provide support during natural disasters; money allows organizations on-on-the-ground to by supplies, provide food and shelter, etc now and throughout the recovery period.
We recommend donating directly to community foundations in California. They have the relationships and know-how to ensure your donation will go where it’s most needed and that it will be deployed effectively.
- The North Valley Community Foundation has established a fund to support victims of the Camp Fire in Northern California.
- The Ventura County Community Foundation has established a fund to support the urgent needs of families affected by the Hill and Woolsey Fires in Southern California.
- The California Community Foundation has established a Wildfire Relief Fund to support victims and communities state-wide.
