ACT for Alexandria

IMPACT 2019: Racial Equity Forum - January 30 - Registration is Open!

Register for IMPACT, the premier gathering of civic leaders in Alexandria.  The event, scheduled for January 30, will convene 200+ of Alexandria’s board, business, community and nonprofit leaders to discuss innovations in philanthropy and strategies for building the capacity of nonprofits and individuals to make a lasting impact in the community.  IMPACT’s keynote speaker is Ben Hecht, President & CEO of Living Cities, a nationally recognized leader in philanthropy and author of Reclaiming the American Dream: Proven Solutions for Creating Economic Opportunity for All.  The breakout sessions and speakers will also focus on how we can build bridges to ensure equity, opportunity and inclusion for everyone.

At ACT, our work is driven by our respect for the unique strengths, experiences and diversity of the people of Alexandria and we strive to work with our partners to ensure justice, empathy and opportunity for all Alexandrians.  Matters of race impact many in our community and awareness and a commitment to addressing disparities is needed to address these challenges.  Join us as we seek to understand why these barriers exist and how we can work together to make Alexandria a vibrant community where all residents can achieve their full potential.

Visit www.actimpactforum.com to register.  Early bird registration rates apply until December 19.
