On September 23, 1421 Prince Street was lit up with all the colors of the Mediterranean for ACT's Third Annual Harvest Dinner and Wine Auction. Guests dressed in their best "Mediterranean Casual" were welcomed with champagne and invited to catch up with other attendees, enjoy the balcony views overlooking Alexandria's Old Town neighborhood, and, of course, perusing the auction items that would be up for bid later in the evening.
The harvest style dinner kicked off with a Prosecco toast, sponsored by Speck-Caudron Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. The menu, designed by Chef Gaby Hakman of The Majestic, featured the bold flavors of The Mediterranean, accompanied by wines carefully selected by David Gwathmey of GRAPE + BEAN.
Dinner was followed by an exciting, fast-paced live auction, which saw friends and neighbors competing for items such as valuable wine collections and weekend getaways. Two raffle prizes--a wine tasting in San Francisco and a trip to Salamander Resort & Spa were announced as well.
Thanks to generous event sponsors, TTR Sotheby's International Realty, Speck-Caudron Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, and Alexandria Restaurant Partners, ticket purchasers, and all who participated in the auction, raffle and paddle call, the event raised significant funds in support of ACT's initiatives. It was a night where the spirit and passion of Alexandria and its community members was on full display.
Thank you, again, to all who attended and contributed and made the evening as memorable as it was.
