Get Ready to Give! Spring2ACTion Is Only a Few Months Away!

Spring2ACTion, Alexandria’s Giving Day, is Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

Ready, set, give!  Spring2ACTion is an online giving event that connects local donors with Alexandria nonprofits.  Spring2ACTion inspires Alexandrians and their neighbors to make a difference by connecting them with causes they care about on an easy-to-use platform where they can donate to nonprofits in their community.  Since 2011, 55,000 generous donors, like you, have given more than $8 million dollars to more than 160 nonprofits through Spring2ACTion, making it one of the most successful city-wide giving days in the country!

Ways you can support Spring2ACTion, Alexandria’s Giving Day:

  • Spread the word about giving back through Spring2ACTion starting as early as March 27 with early giving (it’s like early voting, but you can give early and often!)
  • Donate to your favorite nonprofit(s)
    • Make a one-time gift
    • Be a “free agent fundraiser” for your favorite cause by creating your own fundraising page and encouraging your friends and family to support your efforts
    • Provide a matching grant to your favorite nonprofit(s) to help them leverage even more donations from other donors
  • Take action
    • Help us kick-off Early Giving on March 27 by dining at Lena’s Wood Fired Pizza & Tap, mention “Spring2ACTion” and 15% of sales will support prizes for nonprofits on April 10
    • During the month of March, 2 cents of every gallon of gas purchased at Yates Automotive is donated to Spring2ACTion as part of Yates Services’ Give Your Two Cents program.  Stop by, fill up and give back!
    • Stay tuned for more Spring2ACTion events benefiting Alexandria nonprofits!
